Celebrating Fatherhood & Strengthening Families This Father’s Day Weekend
This is my first weekend celebrating without my dad. He would have already suggested gifts from us, we would all be trying to outdo each other, and us six adult children would all be deciding the perfect thing to do with dad whether it was physical gifts, taking him out to the movies or dinner, and just a good time for Father’s Day with mom’s help.
Our hero is gone.
My brother is also gone, and he was a good dad. This weekend is extra tough with not one, but two family members missing. Yet, it isn’t all sad.
We were blessed with two men of caliber, who exemplified what it meant to be a dad. They raised their kids, worked hard, and played hard. We are forever grateful to God for letting us have the time we did with each of them.
It was a blessing.
