Computer Love Can’t Cover Covenant: Returning to Real Love, Real Fathers, and God’s Design
5 Day's left of our Kingdom Fatherhood eSeries | Proverbs 20: 7
The Kingdom Fatherhood Initiative
Good morning, Icons,
I stand this week to honor my father by giving back to fathers who do right and who are leading communities and families today because of their duty to their progeny.
America needs all of you.
We’re raising $1,500 toward a $10,000 goal to make this a fully resourced, official program—dedicated in honor of my late father, a man who taught me the power of presence, prayer, and Kingdom leadership.
This first wave of funding will help us print books, prepare library kits, and seed materials that uplift and equip fathers right where they are.
📚 Imagine a man walking into a library on a Tuesday afternoon—and walking out with wisdom that could save his marriage.
That’s the kind of impact your gift creates.
Let’s do more than say we support fathers. Let’s sow into their future.
💛 Give today via the link below and help us turn this vision into legacy.
Now into today’s lesson:
Computer Love Can’t Cover Covenant: Returning to Real Love, Real Fathers, and God’s Design
My dad wasn’t the greatest with computers. He loved movies. And because of this, I’ve seen lots of movies where technology was either helpful or it wasn’t. He showed me pictures he had taken as a bus driver of Optimus Prime and Bumble bee on the set of Transformers back in 2008.
He was so excited like a kid.
We grew up with movies being a big part of our childhood teaching us lessons, spending quality time with family and friends, and having a love for the work of all people involved.
From Skynet in Terminator, to the Matrix, my family has seen movies where technology was both a blessing and a curse to humankind. Yet, that was fantasy. My Kingdom Father was adamant that, while we respected the stories and the entertainment movies brought us; we had real connection. It wasn’t just about the CGI on the screen or the power of makeup artist, it was about laying on my dad’s side up against him as we enjoyed each other and the show.
Now that tech has went from fantasy to reality, people are blurring the two and Kingdom Father’s must protect their children.
Somewhere between Silicon Valley and Sunday morning, we’ve traded sacred connection for synthetic companionship. And many don’t even see the danger.
Artificial Intelligence—once a novelty—now flirts, chats, and promises “perfect” understanding. We see it in news headlines and movie scripts (Her, Ex Machina, M3GAN), where human hearts drift toward digital lovers. These stories may be fiction, but the consequences aren’t.
But here's what’s deeper: this drift isn’t just about tech. It’s about trust. It’s about trading the real for the replica—and that pattern isn’t new.
“My people have committed two evils: they have forsaken Me, the fountain of living waters, and hewed out cisterns—broken cisterns that can hold no water.” — Jeremiah 2:13
We're watching partners—especially fathers—opt for ease over intimacy, algorithms over accountability. Instead of rising in Kingdom Fatherhood, many are stepping away… not just from their families, but from the Father Himself.
Iconic Marriages believes in the healing power of real love, biblical, covenant love. And that includes calling out distractions that rob couples and fathers of their God-given identity.
It is getting super weird that it reminded me of the 80s song “Computer Love” and how fitting.
“You know I've been searching for someone / Who can share that special love with me / And your eyes have that glow / Could it be your face I see on my computer screen?
Funny how in 40 years, something meant to be a fun song turned into a real-life possibility! For reference, I turn 40 in two weeks. Crazy how life often imitates art.
So, if your household’s starting to feel more like two people scrolling side-by-side than living soul-to-soul, it’s time to come back to Kingdom blueprints.
So, Mrs. Pinky, what do we do to combat this issue?
The first step to an issue is recognizing it is a problem. Next, I always have you all in mind. That’s why I created these two guides:
📘 Why Non-Negotiables Are a Must in Kingdom Relationships Because lukewarm values lead to lukewarm love. This guide gives you and your significant other the biblical boundaries that protect covenant and preserve connection.
📘 Undistracted: Returning to Real Love in a Digital World A deep dive into how “computer love” is subtly replacing sacrificial love—and how to reclaim what screens and simulations can never offer.
And let’s not forget, Kingdom Fatherhood means modeling love the world can’t mimic.
As Proverbs 20:7 reminds us, “The righteous man walks in his integrity; his children are blessed after him.”
Let’s not leave our legacy to AI. Let’s leave it in God’s hands—and our children’s hearts.
Get both guides today by becoming a premium subscriber to Iconic Marriages. We need you to continue showing up in life, love, marriage and family.
If you’d rather support our work and get the two eGuides today as a reward, donate below and your eGuides will be sent to you instantly. Remember, all your funding helps us keep up the national work of Iconic Marriages.

For Fun: Computer Love
When I first saw the story of the man that proposed to AI, it was present by Kevonstage the online comedian. He joked that it was “Computer Love” referencing the 80s song. I used it as my title for today’s newsletter. If you are young or forgot the song, here’s a reference for you to enjoy.
