My husband and I want to buy land and build a home on top of it to eventually leave to our children one day.

We are so focused on it; we forgo certain things to restore our credit and save up.

We have looked at different plots of land and blueprints for our perfect build.

We don’t have time for family drama, arguments or anything that can distract us.

And this world is full of distractions.

Those things can wreck your peaceful home causing anxiety over the 2024 election, worry over climate change and mental instability with the various crimes, wars and other chaotic things troubling our communities.

You have to be the leader in your own social empire to protect your peace.

When I took a break yesterday from the X app and social media to reevaluate my life and my business, it was amazing. I didn’t go out or do anything grand, it was just a rest on my mind not to think about all the trends and thinks people fret over online.

And it was great.

Too good in fact. And I believe that is the point.

Social media and media in general runs on drama. The chaos and the worry people feel generates clicks.

And it distracts us from our Vision and goals we set for ourselves and our social empires.

How do we survive the grievance movements, the political upheavals, and the mess while trying to establish generational change in our households?

Here are 5 ways to do it:

1. Mindset Shift: The media is a propaganda machine. It is designed to get you interested and motivated to act according to its plans. You have to have the mindset that controls your own destiny. If you have a strong faith that God is in control, no news cast can worry you. If your mind believes you can get married no red pill or feminist movement can sway, you on that dream. Changing your mindset transforms you into the owner of your destiny instead of your life being guided by the hands of a few elites. Take over your mind and win at this game called life.

2. Know Your Vision: I will advise this as many times as it takes to help folks win. When you know the direction of your marriage and family, you can focus on achieving it. You won’t have time for complaints without solutions. You won’t have time for infidelity, bad financial decisions or nonsense. A Vision is the reason God called you into existence, a big plan for your life and those you help. You don’t have time to play about your mental, spiritual or physical health or of those you love. 4. Get Educated: As we mentioned above, we have eBooks and eCourses to help you develop tools that will get your social empire to where you need it to be. That’s not all. You can reach out to other marriage coaches, counselors and therapist to gain insights when you struggle. There are other great authors, secular or religious scholarly work and more to educate you on mental stability, marriage success and anything you can think of. You do not have to go at life alone. 5. Trust in Your Support: Marriage is a life hack because you have a built-in support system. Nothing is too hard for you when it aligns with the will of the Lord.

Proverbs 3:5-6 says, “Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make straight your paths.” Allowing God to be your guide begins with a commitment to trust.
